Torrington senior housing project in August, filling in Connecticut

The population of older citizens in Litchfield County is predicted to grow by 62 percent in about two decades. According to a report by the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, “an explosion in the number of seniors… may result in serious challenges,” for the region. One such challenge is expanding the inventory of housing in Torrington that provide services for older adults. A new entry in the city, Keystone Place at Newbury Brook, at 1058 Litchfield St., reflects the growing interest in the market segment.
